This is the second year in a row that ZOMAZOMA has participated in the main stage of the OK National Baseball Tournament for the Deaf.
OK Financial Group has been sponsoring the National Deaf Baseball Tournament since 2010. It has been supporting sports for the deaf in Korea through former national baseball team manager Sun Dong-yeol, and in 2019, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the tournament, it was renamed the Sun Dong-yeol OK National Deaf Baseball Tournament under Sun’s name.
“Last year (2022), the tournament was held again for the first time in three years due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and the main stage was moved to Katie Wise Park, allowing deaf athletes to create meaningful memories in a better environment,” said OK Financial Group.

New sponsors this year include Daesang Welllife and Bobae Banjang. The winner of the tournament will receive the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and bat at a KT home game.
“I am happy that we were able to hold the Deaf Baseball Tournament safely for the second year in a row after the difficult times caused by COVID-19,” said Sun. “Thanks to the long-standing sponsorship of OK Savings Bank, the tournament went smoothly and the interest of baseball players and fans in Deaf baseball seems to be growing.”
“We would like to thank OK Savings Bank once again for their active support of the National Deaf Baseball Tournament, which gives dreams and hope to the deaf, and we hope that the deaf players will showcase their skills on a great stage this year.”
