The buyer of the Messenapolis penthouse in Mapo-gu메이저놀이터, Seoul, which sold for 5.1 billion won last year and became the most expensive apartment in the country, is reportedly singer Lim Young-woong.

According to media reports on September 28, Lim purchased Messenapolis in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul for 5.1 billion won ($5.1 million) on September 30 last year. It is believed that he paid all cash as there was no lien on the property.

Messenapolis is a high-end residential complex that was approved for use in July 2012 and consists of a total of 617 units ranging from the 7th floor to the 39th floor, with a private area of 122 to 244 square meters.

Lim reportedly purchased a penthouse on the top floor of Messenapolis for 5.1 billion won, which is 1.72 billion won higher than the previous high of 3.38 billion won (January 2019), despite the real estate downturn last year.

Messenapolis is located in a super station area that connects Hapjeong Station, a transfer station for Seoul Subway Lines 2-6, to the shopping district within the complex.
