A new command tower has been decided to lead the national soccer team after coach Bento. The protagonist is Germany’s Jürgen Klinsmann, who has made a name for himself as a world-class star player, and his contract period is until the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America.

The Korea Football Association has officially announced that it has appointed Klinsman as the new national team coach.

The salary was not disclosed according to the agreement between the two sides, but it is known to be higher than Bento’s, which is estimated at 1.8 billion won.

The contract period is until the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America.

New head coach Klinsmann said through the association, “I feel honored to be following in the footsteps of great coaches who have directed the Korean national team, from Hiddink to former coach Bento.”

Klinsmann is a world-class striker who led Germany to win the 1990 World Cup. After his retirement, he took charge of the German national team and reached 3rd place in the 2006 World Cup. He also led the US national team to the round of 16. .

In the past, when he was the coach of the German national team, he stayed in the United States, where he mainly resided, causing so-called ‘telecommuting’ controversy.

Klinsmann plans to return to Korea next week to complete the composition of the coaching staff and take the helm from the two evaluation matches to be held in Korea next month.
