According to the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service’s Healthcare Big Data, the number of neighbourhood clinics nationwide stood at more than 35,000 at the end of the first quarter of this year, an increase of more than 6,800 or 24.3 per cent in 10 years.

However, amid a declining birthrate, obstetrics and gynaecology decreased by 78, from 1,397 to 1,319, and paediatrics and adolescence by 53, from 2,200 to 2,147.
